From Bill Edwards Presents and ASA Entertainment, this exciting two-day event is a non-stop, heart-pounding competition featuring world-class aerial artists – the very best in Skateboard, BMX and Freestyle Motocross (FMX).
At SPX 2015, fans will witness intense competitive action between action sports’ superstar pros, 9-time X Games Gold Medalist Pierre-Luc Gagnon (Montreal, Canada), 6-time Medalist Adam Jones (Minden, NV) and 16-time X Games Medalist Ryan Nyquist (Los Gatos, CA).

Among the world-class competitions are Big Air Triples, which features top pro BMX riders doing three massive jumps on a 200-foot-long by 32-foot-high ramp, and Skateboarding Vert on the actual half-pipe from the X Games.
Revving up the intensity will be the Freestyle Motocross (FMX) pros, whose back-flips and whips will leave spectators on the edge of their seats in the first pro FMX contest that Florida has hosted in 10 years.
“We are thrilled to bring this event to St. Pete,” said Bill Edwards. “Al Lang Stadium is now a vibrant downtown event center, and St. Pete Action Sports is a tremendous addition to the calendar.”
“St. Pete Action Sports will give fans the most authentic and entertaining Action Sports experience available,” said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment. “The field of athletes will rival the X Games, and the pros are looking forward to delivering mind-boggling tricks for the fans throughout the Bay Area.”

About Al Lang Stadium
Located in downtown St. Petersburg, Fla., the historic, waterfront Al Lang Stadium has been a vital part of the community since it was built in 1947. Originally a baseball park, the venue is named in honor of Al Lang, a former mayor of St. Petersburg who was instrumental in bringing professional baseball to the city in the early twentieth century.
For decades, the stadium was the spring training home for many Major League Baseball clubs and the summer home of their affiliated minor league teams. The stadium hosted its last spring training game in 2008.
Owned by the City of St. Petersburg and now managed by Big3 Entertainment, LLC, today’s Al Lang Stadium is home to the North American Soccer League’s Tampa Bay Rowdies. In 2015, the venue underwent a major renovation including upgraded seating, improved concessions and concourse area, enhanced locker rooms and a state-of-the-art video scoreboard.
